iSi Cream Whipper

1) Do I have to refrigerate the whipper after filling?
Yes, the whipper requires refrigeration. If fresh liquid cream is used, the unit may remain in the refrigerator for up to ten days.
Tip: To keep the unit from getting clogged, remove and rinse the decorator tip before storing the whipper in the refrigerator. Replace the tip when you are ready to dispense. (The gas will not escape by removing the tip.)

2) May I use skim milk, light cream, or half and half?
Skim milk, light cream, and half and half do not contain enough fat to make whipped cream. Use only heavy cream or liquid whipping cream.

3) What can be used to flavor the whipped cream?
Flavor cream with powdered cocoa, confectioners’ sugar, or liquid syrup by adding these ingredients to the bottle before charging. Swirl the bottle to dissolve all ingredients before charging.

4) One pint of liquid cream does not fill the bottle. Can I add more to the bottle?
No. The one pint bottle holds one pint of cream and leaves enough room for the gas.

5) How long until the bottle has to be recharged?
Use only one charger per bottle. When the gas charger is properly applied, there is enough pressure to dispense all of the cream in the bottle.

6) Do I have to leave the charger holder and the charger on after activating?
No, iSi recommends that you unscrew the charger holder and remove the charger before dispensing the whipped cream.

7) Can I open the whipper after it’s been charged?
No! Only open the whipper after the gas has been released. Do not attempt to open a filled whipper. If you must open it, hold the whipper upright and cover the tip with a cloth. You will release the gas without spraying the contents. Or face the whipper downward into a trash container to release both the gas and the contents.

8) What should I do to properly charge the bottle?
When charging a bottle, be sure that the head is screwed on securely and that the threading is properly lined up. Otherwise, gas will leak out of the head when applying the charger.

9) What’s the best way to dispose of used chargers?
The chargers are made of ST4 steel and may be recycled by a facility that processes this type of steel, so check your community’s recycling policy.
Important: Do not dispose of full chargers. Release the gas before throwing away.

10) I charged the bottle, so why is it whipper dispensing liquid?
a. Make sure the head gasket is in.
b. Hold the bottle straight up and down when dispensing.
c. Shake bottle 3 to 4 times before dispensing.

11) How do I get replacement parts?

iSi Cream Profi

1) Do I have to leave the charger holder and the charger on after activating?
No. iSi recommends that you unscrew the charger holder and remove the charger before dispensing the whipped cream.

2) Do I have to refrigerate the whipper after filling?
Yes, the whipper requires refrigeration. If fresh heavy cream is used, the unit may remain in the refrigerator for up to ten days.

3) May I use skim milk, light cream, or half and half?
Skim milk, light cream, and half and half do not contain enough fat to make whipped cream. Use containers that say heavy cream or liquid whipping cream. The minimum fat content should be 36%.

4) What can be used to flavor the whipped cream?
You may flavor the whipped cream by adding liquid flavoring syrup to the heavy cream in the bottle before charging it with a cream charger.

5) One pint of heavy cream does not fill the bottle. Can I add more to the bottle?
No. The one pint bottle holds one pint of cream and allows enough space for addition of the flavoring syrup and the charger gas.
Tip: One pint = 2 cups = 16 ounces.

6) How long until the bottle has to be recharged?
One charger has sufficient gas to whip up one pint of heavy cream in the pint-size whipper. If the charger is properly applied, there is enough pressure to dispense all of the cream in the bottle.

7) Can I open the whipper after it has been charged?
Only open the whipper if the gas has been released. Do not attempt to open a filled whipper. If you must open it, hold the whipper upright, cover the tip with a cloth, and depress the lever. You will release the gas without spraying the contents. Alternately, face the whipper downward into a trash container to release both the gas and the contents.

8) What should I do to properly charge the bottle?
When charging a bottle, be sure that the head is screwed on securely and that the threading is properly lined up. Be careful not cross-thread or the gas will leak out of the head when applying the charger.

9) I charged the bottle. Why is it still liquid?
a. Make sure the head gasket is in place inside the bottle head.
b. Shake the bottle up and down 3 to 4 times before dispensing.
c. Turn the bottle upside down with the tip in a vertical position
when dispensing.

10) Are chargers recyclable?
Yes, if steel recycling is available in your area. Otherwise, throw them away with your regular trash. Never throw away full chargers. Release all gas before disposing.
